1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo.

Vehicle Information: Car details, photos, and build logs you submit to the Service.

Location Data: City and state you provide when creating listings or events. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates unless you explicitly grant permission for event check-in.

Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or bank account details. We retain only transaction IDs and amounts.

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, device type, IP address, and crash logs collected automatically to improve the Service.

User Content: Photos, videos, messages, listings, challenge entries, and any other content you upload to the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Process transactions and send related receipts
• Send event reminders, challenge notifications, and community updates
• Facilitate marketplace listings, offers, and messaging between users
• Score and display competition results on leaderboards
• Detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• Analyze usage trends to improve features
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

Other Users: Your display name, profile photo, car photos, challenge results, and marketplace listings are visible to other users as part of normal platform use.

Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Firebase/Google (hosting, storage, push notifications), and analytics providers operating under data processing agreements.

Law Enforcement: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

4. Marketplace & Transactions

Listings, prices, and seller usernames are publicly visible. When you make or receive an offer, both parties can see each other's display name and contact information you choose to share. We are not a party to any transaction and are not responsible for disputes between buyers and sellers.

5. Promoter & Event Data

If you register as a Promoter, your organization name, event listings, ticket pricing, and public event details are visible to all users. Attendee names and check-in status are visible to the event Promoter. Competition scores and leaderboard rankings are publicly displayed.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@hopkings.club. Some data may be retained for up to 90 days in backups, or longer where required by law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, Firebase security rules, and Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will promptly delete the information.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability

10. Cookies & Tracking

Our mobile app does not use browser cookies. Our website uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
